How Do You Get Airport Loads?

Ping….Ping…. Ping…. El Cargo Boss(Me) we have a Load Picking Up in Orlando Florida and Drop in Orlando Florida…..

“Can you do it Boss?”

Here is the secret Question to ALWAYS ask: “ Is it an Airport Pickup or Dropoff?” (lol they think they are so slick).

Yes it is Boss..

ME: I need $200 for 20 miles….

Them: Load is Yours!( No more falling for their slick tricks anymore).

After 2 years I took some time to Analyze the business. Going through paperwork, past loads, QuickBooks(You know the boring stuff).

And One Pattern I noticed: 85% of our loads were from the……….Drum Roll……

AIRPORT

Yes. So because of my analysis on the back end, I created videos on Social Media about my Learnings on the Airport and why i choose to Niche down on it.

And Boy oh Boy…… THEY BLEW UP

You can check them out Here.

You forgot to tell us the Juicy Part El Cargo Boss. What is it?

“How Do We Get To these Airport Loads?” ( I got you Primo).

First thing you need to have an upper advantage… Your TWIC and TSA.

These two clear you to be able to pick up Port, AOG, and different time critical freight.

Here is 7 Companies from The Unfair Advantage that you can start Partnering with today for Airport Freight:

  • Airspace- I love how they have different departments with different types of freight.
  • MNX Global logistics(Ups company) AOG dot com or MNX dot com
  • Ascent Global Logistics — ascentlogistics dot com/ drive4ascent dot com
  • American Expediting
  • V3 transportation
  • Carrier 911
  • Blue Streak Couriers(routes)

Friendly Tips:

  • First apply online, then call them, then follow up through email 3-5 times.
  • If you cannot pass TSA STA → drop airport-tendering targets (Airspace airport tier, American Expediting AOG vertical, Blue Streak IAC work) and focus on Ascent/V3 ground expedite lanes.
  • If your van is <12 ft cargo area or low-roof → Ascent will reject; pivot to American Expediting, V3, and Airspace.
  • If you live outside the Southeast → deprioritize Blue Streak; emphasize Ascent (Michigan-centric), V3 (Ohio), and Carrier 911 (NY).
  • Don’t disqualify a company because you are not in the area. Focus on building relationships.

If you want over 150 relationships that will expand your empire just like these…

Yesterday definitely didn’t go as planned... After playing basketball 🏀 in Tallahassee, every load I saw was going the opposite direction. Halo(my son) was calling my name. I can see his smile in my head. My wife needed my help. Or she would be cooked at her job the next morning. Should I Choose the Cheese(Money) or Family? Which one did you think I chose? OF COURSE MY FAMILY! I would do anything for them. So i deadheaded home…. Got home at 3am. No rest. I was Exhausted. Only for my Family....

Today was a phone call type of day. El Cargo Boss Hotline was blowing up. I felt like a Mobile call center. I spoke to at least 10 different people... Two conversations stuck out to me the most. First with RWS Express (My cousin). By the way, that's a secret to surviving long drives. Have plenty of valuable conversations on the phone. Next thing you know. BOOM you are 10 minutes from delivery and made a easy 500 macaroonis. RWS Express shared a funny story about how a guy he is mentoring is...
